What to look for when booking a holiday

Booking a holiday can be an exciting time and you may find it easy to get a bit carried away with the idea that you end up missing something or booking something you didn’t really want. When you are looking to book a holiday the main things you need to know in advance is who will be going, when can you travel and how much can you spend on the holiday. Once you have this information it is easier to be able to compare holidays that fit your criteria.

If you are looking online then be sure to save and print any deals you find. Remember though that prices can change within a matter of minutes so unless you book immediately the price may go up or down.

Always be sure to check what exactly is included in the price quoted either online or in the travel agents. Often transfers, luggage allowance and insurance is not included in the price unless stated and this can easily add hundreds on to the total cost of the holiday.

You should also check that nothing has been included that you may not want, for example, some websites automatically add on taxi transfers to and from the airport which may cost over £100, you may find it cheaper to us a shuttle bus service instead which is often neatly half the price.
