Planning a hotel wedding

Hotels are becoming increasingly popular with couples looking for their perfect wedding venue. Many couples are attracted to the packages that hotels create for weddings and the stress free approach that it seems to offer.

When considering a hotel wedding you need to look closely at the small print in the terms and conditions. Many venues will state a certain number of guests are included in the wedding breakfast (afternoon sit down meal) and then often a different number for the evening meal or buffet. Usually you can have additional guests but often the cost per head is quite high. This is sometimes why hotel wedding day packages appear to be quite low, because they have not allowed for many guests. This may be perfect for people that just want an intermit wedding with only close family and a few friends, but for those wishing to invite 100 plus then you may need to reconsider.

If you are looking for guests to be able to stay over at the hotel, then you should try and negotiate a good deal on the rooms. Often the bridal suit will be included in the package but you may be able to get the room rate for your guests reduced too.
