How to take an affordable holiday

Holidays are great and we all would love to be able to take a trip with loved ones, but the truth is many of us cannot afford the thousands of pounds that tour operators are asking for a week abroad. If you have children then you may also have to go in school holidays which can make a holiday away even more expensive as tour operators and holiday homeowners cash in on this time of year.

If you want to get away for a bit but need something a little cheaper then why not book a few mini breaks in the UK. Children are often not bothered where they go more who they go with and what you do when you’re away. There are some great places all over England and the rest of the UK that have a wealth of activities and sightseeing to do for all the family.

A mini break may cost you around £200 – £300 for a family room in a hotel for 3 nights, meaning you may even be able to do more than one a year as you can easily spread the cost out. If you holiday in the UK you also don’t need to worry about passports and flight costs and may be able to take a certain amount of food with you to cut down on eating out bills that very quickly add up.
