With the recent Covid-19 outbreak, many of us have had to cancel our Easter and even summer holidays as travel restrictions are being placed all over the world. It may be that this was the first year that you were going to be taking your children abroad, or maybe you had a honeymoon planned which has now had to be postponed. With so many travellers having to cancel their holidays, it looks like next year may see a bit of a boom.
You may already want to book your holiday for next year, or perhaps you would rather wait a few months and see what’s happening. IF you try and book a holiday for later on this year you may find that you struggle to do so or if you do may struggle to get travel insurance.
If you do decide to book for later this year it is worth asking the travel operator as to what would happen if this situation continues and you are not allowed to travel so therefore the holiday needs to be cancelled? It may be that you would be entitled to a full refund but it is always worth checking.
