For lots of people who do not drive or do not have access to a car, relying on public transport can be a bit of a nightmare and quite restrictive. This is especially true if you live out in the countryside and public transport is sparse.
Picking a destination to visit can sometimes be restricted by the ease of getting there. Public transport can often be a problem. However, with a whole host of apps and services dedicated to planning travel for you, that dream destination may not be totally off the cards.
Travelling by buses rather than taxis can often say you a lot of money as a taxi journey ten miles down the road may cost you fifteen to tweeny pounds, whereas if you opt to go on a bus then it could be possible to make the same journey for around £5.
Another way to save money over taxi journeys is to go by train. Trains again are often a bit cheaper but sometimes train journeys can add up and if traveling from one end of the UK to another you may find flights are actually cheaper! If your destination is in a city centre then public transport may be perfect, if it is out of the centre then taxis may be your only option.
