The past year has made many people reticent about booking holidays as they have had to cancel holidays that were booked or postpone and defer their holidays again and again due to the Covid virus travel restrictions so is it safe to book holidays for later this year?
While the immediate future is still uncertain as no one really knows for sure whether the virus will be sufficiently under control later this year or not one thing is certain, holiday travel insurance should be taken out before booking anything and the fine print of the policy documents needs to be read to ensure that cancellation or delay due to the virus is completely covered.
Despite the uncertainty, if you feel that a holiday abroad this year is important for you and your family look carefully at the restrictions for holiday locations before booking. It could be that some countries will require visitors to have had vaccinations against Corona virus before allowing you to visit and most will require evidence of a negative test a few days prior to travel.
There will still possibly be restrictions in place this year such as social distancing and mask wearing in indoor spaces but hopefully as the year progresses these will become less frequently needed.
