Many pet owners hate the thought of leaving their much-loved dog behind when they go on holiday. If you are going on holiday abroad it is difficult but not impossible to take your pet with you, but regulations will apply depending on the country you are travelling to. If, however you are taking your holiday in the UK it is relatively easy to do this but be aware that you will face restrictions dependant upon the type of holiday you enjoy and the time of year.
Accommodation will be the first issue to deal with. Some hotels and guest houses cater for people who have their dogs with them, but the size of your dog might be a restriction. If you are staying in a self-catering property it is important to check whether dogs are allowed. Some dog owners have a touring caravan or motorhome so that finding accommodation is not an issue for them.
If you enjoy having meals out when you are on holiday having your pet dog with you can be quite restrictive unless your particular dog is happy to stay in your car while you are away. Obviously, there are concerns about leaving a dog in a car when it is warm weather and so this is not recommended.
