If you fancy going on holiday but would like some extra company then you may consider asking other families to go with you. If you have children it is sometimes nice for the kids to have other children there that they can play with and for you to have other adults that you can spend time with when the children have gone to bed.
It also often works out cheaper if you holiday with other people as you can split the cost of things, especially if you are camping where you may only need one pitch.
You may need to think about if you still want to do some things with just your immediate family and if so, set this out from the start. It is often nice to have a day or so where you do your own thing and then get together in the evening. You may even offer to babysit for each other so the other couple can go out for a meal or go for a walk and spend some quality time together. Something you may not be able to do if you went on your own.
Holidays are the perfect time for everyone to wind down and relax, so having extra people around you who you get on well with and care about can make it even more enjoyable.
